Dr. Kopczyk
Dr. Larry Kopczyk is a general dentist, and has been a
resident of Kentucky since 1969. His family moved here from
Illinois after his father was offered a faculty position
at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Dr.
Kopczyk comes from a family dental background. His father
is a retired Periodontist, and his brother is a practicing
dentist in Florida.
Dr. Kopczyk graduated from Tates Creek High School and
completed his undergraduate studies at Transylvania University
in Lexington Kentucky. He played basketball at Transy for
four years, and graduated with honors in pre-dental studies.
He attended University of Kentucky College of Dentistry
and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1984.
Dr. Kopczyk has been providing dental services in Lexington,
Ky. for greater than 20 years. He is a member of the Bluegrass
Dental Society, the Kentucky Dental Association, and the
American Dental Association. He is also a member of the
Better Business Bureau.
Dr. Kopczyk is married and has raised three stepsons. The
oldest of his stepsons, Dr. Brian Vieth, practices with
Dr. Kopczyk at Alumni Dental Center. Dr. Kopczyk and his
wife Cindy became proud grandparents in July of 2007.
Dr. Kopczyk enjoys golfing and fishing in his free time.
Dr. Vieth
Dr. Brian Vieth has called Lexington, Kentucky home for
19 years. He graduated from Lexington Christian Academy
in 1994 and like his step father, Dr. Larry Kopczyk, attended
Transylvania University in Lexington Kentucky. Dr. Vieth
also played basketball at TU under coach Don Lane, becoming
Coach Lanes first father/son letterman. Upon graduation
from Transylvania in 1998, Dr. Vieth attended the University
of Kentucky College of Dentistry earning his Doctor of Dental
Medicine degree in 2002. He has been practicing with Dr.
Kopczyk since his graduation.
Dr. Vieth is married to his wife Katie and they celebrated
the birth of the first child, a girl, Addison Riley in July
of 2007. He is also proud of his two basset hounds Murphy
and Bailey. In his free time Dr. Vieth enjoys playing golf,
traveling and horse racing.
He is a member of the Bluegrass Dental Society, Kentucky
Dental Association and American Dental Association.
Dr. Majors
Dr. Tim Majors received his dental degree from the University
of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2005, graduating with
distinction (top 10 of his class). He is a member of the
Bluegrass Dental Society, the Kentucky Dental Association,
and the American Dental Association.
Raised in central Indiana, Dr. Majors has called Lexington
home for 12+ years. He attended Transylvania University
for undergraduate studies, majoring in biology and graduating
cum laude. He played four years of varsity basketball for
the Pioneers and served as team captain for three years,
before moving on to dental school.
Dr. Majors is married to Kristin, who has taken a break
from teaching elementary school to care for their two young
sons - Max and Luke. In his free time, Dr. Majors enjoys
spending most of his time with Kristin and the boys, as
well as working on the latest project in their downtown
home. He also still enjoys basketball (more as a spectator
that a player these days), playing golf occasionally, and
attending sporting events.
