Meet Our Team
Dr. Larry Kopczyk, DMD
Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Kopczyk decided to pause his career in dentistry, and played professional basketball in Greece! Once coming back to the States, and to dentistry, he started his practice in 1986, it’s original location on East Reynolds Road in Lexington. In 2002, he built the Alumni Dental Center practice that stands today. The same year, his stepson, Dr. Brian Vieth, joined Alumni Dental Center as a partner. Dr. Kopczyk is married to his wonderful wife, Cindy, and has three stepsons, Brian, Doug, and Ben, and three grandchildren whom he adores. He also enjoys spending time with his rescue pup, Rocky!
Dr. Kopczyk attended University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1984. He is a member of the Bluegrass Dental Society, the Kentucky Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Brian Vieth, DMD
After graduating in 2002, Dr. Vieth joined Dr. Kopcyzk as a partner in Alumni Dental Center. He’s been married for 15 wonderful years to his wife, Katie, and together they have two children, Addison and Judd, and two dogs, Vivie and Gunner. Dr. Vieth enjoys traveling with his family, coaching his son’s sports teams, watching his daughter perform on stage, hitting the golf course, and being a spectator to horse racing! You may be surprised to learn that all three partners of Alumni Dental Center were basketball stars at Transylvania University in Lexington, KY!
Dr. Vieth attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2002. He is a member of the Bluegrass Dental Society, Kentucky Dental Association and American Dental Association.
Dr. Tim Majors, DMD
Dr. Majors joined Alumni Dental Center in 2005, from day one of his career. He is married to his wonderful wife, Kristin, who is the reading specialist at Sts. Peter and Paul School in Lexington. Together they have two teenage boys, Max and Luke, and they love to cheer them on (and drive them around!) in soccer, basketball, mountain biking, and a long list of other activities. They also spend lots of time with Ruby, their sweet and stubborn Aussiedoodle. As a family, they enjoy getting outdoors – camping and hiking, and are always scoping out the newest and best places to take in food, beer and music in and around Lexington. Though a proud graduate of two Kentucky universities, growing up in Indiana fueled Dr. Majors’ lifelong fandom for Hoosier basketball. He does, however, otherwise cheer for UK sports!
Dr. Majors received his undergraduate degree from Transylvania University, where he played basketball (just like his two Alumni Dental partners) under legendary coach Don Lane. Prior to joining Alumni Dental Center, he received his dental degree from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2005, graduating with distinction (top 10 of his class). He is an active member of the Bluegrass Dental Society, the Kentucky Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.

“I’ve been to a lot of Dental offices as we move about every 2-3 years due to work. This place, the entire staff and Dr Majors are AWESOME. Did I say they are awesome? Truly professional, kind, courteous staff makes you feel comfortable and accepted. I would not go anywhere else, and won’t as long as we are living here.” -Rick N.
